Dementia Journal is designed with your privacy as the top priority.
Data Collection
Dementia Journal does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. All journal entries, notes, and settings are stored locally on your device only, in an encrypted database. Nothing is sent to us or to any third party.
Data Storage
Your data stays on your device. If you use the app's Export Database Backup feature, the backup file is saved locally on your device and is only shared if you choose to share it yourself (e.g. via email or file transfer).
Permissions
The app requests the biometric (fingerprint/face) permission solely to let you lock the app with your device's screen lock. This is handled entirely by your device's operating system — we never receive or store any biometric data.
Third-Party Services
Dementia Journal does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
It does contain optional links to external websites. If you follow one, you leave the app and that website's own privacy policy applies to what you do there.
Children's Privacy
This app is not directed at children and is not intended for use by anyone under 18.
